Even Jack & Jill Went Up The Hill

Trying to get back into the swing of things can often times be the hump that feels like hell to get over.  You go over and over again in your mind with thoughts of all the goals that you have and the changes that must be made to accomplish those goals and you end up feeling like a weighted dark cloud is following you. Not sure if you have ever felt that way..... I have.  Waiting and wanting to advance to the next level in my life, while standing in my own way at the same time.

Often times, we're two steps away from reaching the top of the hill, but view it as two steps too far, then give up!  Not only do we lose out on what lies beyond the hill, we cut ourselves short from experiencing the truth to our life that awaits us.  We inadvertently become our own worst enemy by opening our ears to our own false negative whispers in the discomforts of our soul.  No matter how quietly this is done, it will speak loudly in the outward expression of your life.

Opening your eyes and looking beyond the hill to push forward can involve all or any of these simple examples:

1.  Being in the company of individuals (family, friends, co-workers) that are positive:  This will place you in a position to receive constructive criticism, receive help with achieving your goals and dreams, and have someone to share your cares and concerns with that is genuinely interested in your well being.

2.  Prayer/Mediation:  This will provide a chance to clear your mind of all the negative thoughts that creep into your mind, while giving encouragement and strength to advance.

3.  Goal setting and listing them: This will provide something tangible to view and gauge your accomplishments thus far, which will motivate you in return to continue towards your goals.  Goal setting also provides the chance to check for the possible need to readjust or reinvent life goals.

4.  Vision board:  This does nothing more than provide visual motivation about where you see yourself in the future.

Neither of these require any amount of money, they only require your ability to embrace being fearless in an uncertain world.  Hey, if you make a mistake, you always have the next second, minute, hour, day, or year to start over again.

If you used any of these tactics to overcome blocking your goals, which ones, and how did they work for you?  If not, share what worked for you.

Peace & Blessings
